Onions 1
Chilli Powder 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder 1 tsp
Ginger/Garlic paste 1 tsp
Green chilies 3 medium size
Cilantro 1/4 bunch
Garlic cut into fine tiny pieces 4 medium size cloves
Eggs 2 large
Pepper & Salt to taste

Steps:

  • 1 Steam the potatoes in a pressure cooker with water on high for 5mts. 2 Take it out, peel them and mash it well with a big fork or a wooden spoon, 3 In a wide sauce pan boil the ground beef, ginger/garlic paste, chilli powder, turmeric and salt in ¼ cup water. 4 Cook on high till all the water has been absorbed. It should be really dry. 5 Even a little bit of water in the meat will cause it to break when frying. Let it cool 6 In another frying pan add 1 Tbsp of oil and fry very lightly the already cut onions, green chillies, ginger, garlic, and cilantro. 7 Now add the potatoes and the fried ingredients to the boiled meat and mix well with your hand 8 In a big hollow frying pan heat the oil on high. 9 Start making small balls of the meat batter and flatten it about ½ inch thick on your palm 10 Dip it into the beaten egg and deep fry. 11 Reduce the heat to medium after the first batch and into low heat for the rest. 12 Place it on a paper towel to drain the extra fat and serve it hot with ketchup or mint chutney.

North Croatian Beef Cutlet image

You can also call this Croatian hamburger. You can eat this as a plain meal with salad, you can it with beans or leek or kale stews, you can eat it cold or cook as a meat balls. You can also mix it with pork meat and your cutlet will be softer. I will submit my recipe which is not obligatory - you can change it.
