1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup butter or 1/3 cup margarine
1 tablespoon shortening
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/8 teaspoon salt
4 cups peeled cored, and sliced cooking apples (such as Golder Delicious or Granny Smith)
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
1/3 cup sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 cup sliced almonds

Steps:

  • In a medium mixer bowl beat the first 1/3 cup sugar, butter or shortening, and 1/4 tsp vanilla on medium speed of
  • electric mixer till combined.
  • Blend in flour and salt till crumbly.
  • Pat onto the bottom of a 9" springfor pan.
  • Set aside.
  • Place apple slices in a single layer in a shallow baking pan. Cover w/foil.
  • Bake in a 400 degree over for 15
  • minutes.
  • Meanwhile, for filling, in a large mixer bowl beat the cream cheese, the 1/2 cup sugar and the 1/2 tsp vanilla with an electric mixer till fluffy.
  • Add the eggs all at once, beating on low speed just till combined.
  • Pour into dough-lined pan.
  • Arrange warm apples slices atop
  • filling.
  • Combine the remaining 1/3 cup sugar and
  • cinnamon.
  • Sprinkle filling with the sugar mixture and the almonds.
  • Bake in a 400 degree oven for 40 minutes or till golden.
  • Cool.
  • Remove sides and place cake on serving

1 cup flour
CHEESE FILLING:
16 oz cream cheese
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
APPLES:
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
4 cups peeled apple slices
TOPPING:
streusel topping - i buy packaged apple crisp topping, that you add butter to
Icing - Confectioners sugar, add Milk til you have drizle consistency, couple drops of vanilla extract

Steps:

  • CRUST: Cream margarine w/ 1/3 cup sugar & 1 tsp vanilla. Blend in flour. Press dough into bottom and up sides of spring form pan. FILLING: Combine softened cream cheese and 1/2 cup sugar - mix well. Add eggs & vanilla. Mix - Pour into crust lined pan. Toss appples w/ 1/3 cup sugar & cinnamon - Layer on top of cream cheese filling. Spinkle w/ nuts, or use streusel topping. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes, Top w/ Streusel Topping, then turn down oven to 375 degrees and bake another 30 - 40 minutes. Let cool in pan, remove pan - refridgerate. Before serving drizzle with icing - I put the icing in a ziplock bag, cut off a corner & sqeeze onto top of torte

1-1/4 cups graham cracker crumbs
2 pkg (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup plus 3 Tbsp sugar, divided
1/2 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
1 apple, peeled, cored and sliced
1/4 cup sliced almonds
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350. Mix butter and crumbs; press firmly onto bottom and up side of 9 inch pie plate. Beat cream cheese, 1/2 cup of the sugar and vanilla in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating just until blended after each addition. Pour onto crust; top with apple slices and almonds. Combine cinnamon and remaining 3 Tbsp sugar; sprinkle over cheesecake. Bake 40 minutes or until center is almost set. Cook on wire rack. Refrigerate 3 hours or overnight. Store leftover cheesecake in refrigerator.

1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 apple, peeled, sliced
1/4 cup sliced almonds
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
3 Tbsp. sugar

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350ºF.
  • Mix butter and graham crumbs; press onto bottom and up side of 9-inch pie plate.
  • Beat cream cheese, 1/2 cup sugar and vanilla in large bowl with mixer until well blended. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating after each just until blended; pour into crust. Top with apples and nuts. Mix cinnamon and 3 Tbsp. sugar; sprinkle over cheesecake.
