1 (16 ounce) package vanilla wafers, crushed
1 cup margarine, melted
1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained
6 bananas
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
2 cups confectioners' sugar
1 (12 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
¼ cup chopped walnuts
8 maraschino cherries

Steps:

  • Combine the crushed vanilla wafers and melted margarine. Pat into the bottom of one 9x13 inch pan.
  • Beat the cream cheese and confectioners' sugar together until light and fluffy. Spread over the top of the vanilla wafer crust. Spoon crushed pineapple over the cream cheese layer. Then layer sliced bananas over the pineapple. Cover with the non-dairy whipped topping and sprinkle top with chopped walnuts and maraschino cherries.
  • Chill for at least 4 hours before serving.

This incrediblly moist banana angel food cake is simply hard to resist! A slightly heartier version of chiffon, this cake is enough to feed a crowd.

1½ cups egg whites
½ tsp or cream of tartar lemon juice
¼ tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ tsp ground cinnamon
¼ cup rolled oats
3 ripe and mashed bananas
1 cup cake flour
2 cups confectioners' sugar
¼ tsp salt

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.
  • Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry.
  • Combine the lemon juice, baking powder, vanilla, cinnamon, oats, and mashed bananas.
  • Sift and combine the flour, confectioner's sugar, and salt.
  • Fold the banana mixture into the egg whites.
  • Pour batter into one 9 or 10-inch round cake pan, coated with a non-stick cooking spray.
  • Bake for 1 hour, until the cake is firm and lightly golden.
  • Cool for 5 minutes then slip it out of the pan onto a serving dish.
  • Garnish with a light dusting of confectioner's sugar!

I don't remember where I got this recipe several years ago but is really a quick and delicious dessert.

1 can(s) (20 oz) crushed pinapple, undrained
2 or 3 - bananas, diced
1 - small box jello instant vanilla pudding
1 cup(s) whipped topping, thawed
1 package(s) (10 oz) round angel food cake
1 pint(s) strawberries, diced (save a few whole ones for garnish on the top of the cake)
1 pint(s) strawberry glaze

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, mix the pineapple, with juice, diced bananas and the dry puddng mix.
  • Gently fold in the whipped topping.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the diced strawberries and the strawberry glaze. Stir well to combine.
  • Cut the cake horizontally into three layers.
  • Place the bottom layer, cut side up, on your serving plate. Top with 1/3 of the pudding mixture Spoon some of the strawberry mixture on top of the pudding mixture.
  • Cover with the middle cake layer and and the pudding mixture then the strawberry mixture.
  • Place the top layer on the top and spread remaining pudding mixture and then the strawberry mixture.
  • Refrigerate for at least one hour before serving.
  • Just before serving, place the remaining strawberries on the top of the cake for garnish.
  • Store any remaining cake in the refrigerator.

2 cups graham cracker crumbs
¾ cup white sugar
¼ pound butter, melted
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese
1 ½ cups confectioners' sugar
4 bananas, sliced
1 (15 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained
1 (16 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 (16 ounce) jar maraschino cherries, drained
12 ounces crushed peanuts

Steps:

  • Combine the graham cracker crumbs, white sugar and melted butter. Mix together and press into a 9x13 inch cake pan; refrigerate until chilled.
  • Beat together the cream cheese and confectioners' sugar; spread over graham cracker crust.
  • Layer bananas and pineapple over cream cheese mixture; cover fruit with whipped topping.
  • Top with cherries and chopped nuts; refrigerate and serve chilled.

1 prepared angel food cake (8 to 10 ounces)
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup pureed fresh strawberries
3/4 cup sliced ripe bananas
1/2 cup sliced fresh strawberries
1 cup heavy whipping cream, whipped
Halved fresh strawberries

Steps:

  • Split cake horizontally into three layers; place bottom layer on a serving plate. In a large bowl, combine the sour cream, sugar and pureed strawberries; fold in bananas and sliced strawberries. Fold in whipped cream. , Spread a third of the filling between each layer; spread remaining filling over top. Cover and refrigerate until serving. Garnish with halved strawberries.

3 cups milk, cold
5 1/8 ounces vanilla instant pudding mix (or chocolate)
1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained
1 angel food cake, cut into cubes
1 cup strawberry, sliced
8 ounces whipped topping
1 -2 banana, medium and firm, sliced
1/4 cup pecans, chopped
12 ounces hot fudge (can use jarred or homemade)

Steps:

  • Whisk mild and pudding for 2 minutes in a large bowl. Stir in pineapple.
  • Place half of the angel food cake in a large glass bowl, preferrably a trifle bowl.
  • Spread 1/3 of the pudding mixture on top.
  • Cover with strawberriesHeat fudge topping according to microwave directions on the jar, just until pourable.
  • Pour half of the topping over previous layer.
  • Layer remaining cake cubes on top of the hot fudge layer.
  • Spread another 1/3 of the pudding mixture, top with sliced bananas; cover with remaining 1/3 of pudding mixture.
  • Spread whipped topping over all.
  • Drizzle with hot fudge topping and sprinkle with pecans.
  • Chill until serving. Garnish with strawberries and bananas just before serving.
