1 (5 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding
2 cups cold full-fat milk
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 (12 ounce) container cool whip frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 (16 ounce) package vanilla wafers
12 bananas, sliced (might need more or less bananas)

Steps:

  • Prepare a large glass bowl or a trifle bowl.
  • In a large bowl beat the vanilla pudding and milk for 2 minutes; add in the condensed milk until smooth.
  • Stir in vanilla, then fold in the Cool Whip topping.
  • Layer wafers, sliced bananas and pudding mixture in the large glass bowl.
  • Chill until serving.

3 cups milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 (3 1/2 ounce) packages vanilla instant pudding mix
1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
5 medium ripe bananas
1 (1 lb) package peanut butter sandwich cookie
2 cups thawed extra creamy whipped topping
peanut butter sandwich cookie (optional)
dried banana pieces (optional)
fresh mint sprig (optional)

Steps:

  • Place 3 cups milk and vanilla in large bowl; add vanilla instant pudding mix. Beat with an electric mixer at medium speed 2 minutes or until thickened; let stand 5 minutes. Stir in sour cream.
  • Fill a large bowl with ice. Place bowl in ice, and let stand, stirring occasionally, 30 minutes or until mixture is thoroughly chilled.
  • Meanwhile, cut bananas into 1/4-inch slices. Break cookies into thirds.
  • Spoon half of pudding mixture into a 3-qt. bowl or pitcher. Top with bananas and cookies. Spoon remaining pudding mixture over bananas and cookies. Top with whipped topping. Cover and chill 2 to 24 hours. Garnish, if desired.

3 c milk
3 large eggs
3/4 c splenda, or sugar
1/3 c all purpose flour
2 Tbsp butter
2 tsp vanilla extract
5 large bananas, sliced
1 lb nutter butter cookies, broken into thirds
2 c whipped cream (optional)

Steps:

  • 1. For 15-20 minutes, constantly whisk together milk, eggs, splenda/sugar, and all purpose flour until thickened. Remove from heat, stir in butter and vanilla. Chill. Pudding shortcut: 1tsp vanilla, 3c milk, 2pk instant vanilla pudding. allow to set. stir in 8oz sour cream.
  • 2. Spoon 1/2 chilled pudding mixture into 3qt trifle. Top w/ cookies and bananas. Spoon remaining pudding mixture on top. Cover w/ whipped cream in desired. Optional: crush several cookies into 1c crumbles and dust over trifle.

2 tablespoons butter

Steps:

  • Whisk together first 4 ingredients in a large saucepan over medium-low heat. Cook, whisking constantly, 15 to 20 minutes or until thickened.
  • Remove from heat; stir in butter and vanilla until butter is melted.
  • Fill a large bowl with ice. Place saucepan in ice, and let stand, stirring occasionally, 30 minutes or until mixture is thoroughly chilled.
  • Meanwhile, cut bananas into 1/4-inch slices.
  • Break cookies into thirds.
  • Spoon half of pudding mixture into a 3-qt. bowl or pitcher. Top with bananas and cookies. Spoon remaining pudding mixture over bananas and cookies.
  • Top with sweetened whipped cream.

1 Pkg (5.1 ounces) Instant Vanilla Pudding
1 Can (14 ounces) Sweetened Condensed Milk
1 Carton (12 ounces) Frozen Whipped Cream (Thawed)
4 Cups Vanilla Wafers (Crushed)
1 Pint Fresh Strawberries (Sliced)
4 Whole Bananas (Sliced)
1 Whole Angel Food Cake (Cut into cubes, approx. 6 cups)

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, whisk milk and pudding mix for 2 mins. Let stand for 15 minutes; fold in condensed milk. Fold in whipped cream topping into pudding mixture (**Set aside 2 tbsp's of whipped cream and 4 tbsp's of wafer crumbs for top layer decorating**). In a 3 quart serving bowl, layer a third of the strawberries, bananas, wafer crumbs, angel food cake cubes and pudding mixture. Repeat layers twice. 5 - 7 bananas, peeled and sliced into 1/2-inch chunks

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 300°F In a large bowl, combine graham-cracker crumbs, coconut, pecans, and sugar. Add melted butter, stirring until well combined. Spread mixture on a rimmed sheet pan and bake for approximately 15 minutes until coconut is golden brown, stirring regularly and watching to prevent burning. I found a recipe for Banana Pudding Trifle in the Southern Living Christmas Cookbook. It sounded wonderful, but I tweaked it to make it my own. Here is my version. I hope you enjoy, we sure did. There was nothing left after serving at our dinner this past week.

1 1/2 c sugar
3/4 c all purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
4 c milk
8 egg yolks
1 Tbsp vanilla extract
2 pkg pepperidge farms chessman cookies
6 ripe bananas, sliced
6 (1.4-oz.) chocolate-covered toffee candy bars, cut up or crushed
4 c whipping cream
4 Tbsp sifted powdered sugar

Steps:

  • 1. Combine first 3 ingredients in a large heavy saucepan; whisk in milk. Bring to a boil over medium heat, whisking constantly. Remove from heat.
  • 2. Beat egg yolks until thick and pale. Gradually stir one-fourth of hot mixture into yolks; add to remaining hot mixture, stirring constantly. Cook, stirring constantly, 1 minute. Stir in vanilla. Let the custard cool with plastic wrap directly on the custard so it won't form a skin.
  • 3. When the custard is cooled, beat cream at medium speed with an electric mixer, gradually adding in the powdered sugar. Beat until soft peaks form.
  • 4. Layer one-third of cookies in a 16-cup trifle bowl or 4-quart baking dish. Top with one-third of banana slices.
  • 5. Spoon one-third of custard over banana, and sprinkle with 1/3 of crushed candy bar. Spoon one-third of whipped cream over the candy. Repeat layers twice, so there are 3 layers of everything. On the last layering, I put the candy on top for presentation.

Gradually stir about one-fourth of hot mixture into yolks; add to the remaining hot mixture, stirring constantly. Cook, stirring constantly, 1 minute. Stir in vanilla. Layer one-third of wafers in the bottom of a 4-quart baking dish. Stir together bourbon and rum; brush over wafers. Top with one-third of banana. Spoon one-third of custard over banana, and sprinkle with 1/3 cup crushed candy bar. Repeat procedure twice. Beat whipping cream at medium speed with an electric mixer until foamy; gradually add powdered sugar, beating until soft peaks form. Spread whipped cream over trifle, and sprinkle with remaining crushed candy bar. Cover and chill 3 hours.
