BANANA CREAM PIE BARS
This is a wonderful banana cream pie type dessert that is super easy and great for pot luck style meals. I found the original recipe in a kraft foods magazine but I changed the recipe a little for maximum enjoyment. I hope you like it as much as I do.

Steps:
- COMBINE wafers and butter; press firmly onto bottom of 13x9-inch dish.
- MIX cream cheese and powdered sugar until well blended. Stir in 1-1/2 cups of the whipped topping. Spread evenly over crust; set aside.
- Cut bananas in slices;Arrange in a nice layer over the cream cheese mixture.
- POUR milk into large bowl. Add dry pudding mixes. Beat with wire whisk 2 minute Spoon over bananas.
- Spread top with remaining whipped topping. Sprinkle evenly with chocolate.
- Refrigerate at least 3 hours before serving. Store leftover dessert in refrigerator.
- If you would like you can go ahead and use reduced fat Nilla waffers, cool whip, milk, and pudding. It was once part of the original recipe. You can also go ahead and treat yourself and use the full fat version of all the ingredients also, they both come out wonderful and rich.

- Mix all but ¼ cup. wafer crumbs and butter in 13×9-inch baking dish; press onto bottom of dish. Bake 8 min. Cool 10 min.
- Thinly slice two cups of fresh strawberries. Top crust with sliced strawberries. Beat pudding mixes and milk with whisk 2 min.; spread 2 cups pudding over strawberries.
- Stir 1 cup COOL WHIP into remaining pudding; spread over the dessert. Top with remaining whipped topping.
- Refrigerate 3 hours. Sprinkle with remaining crushed vanilla wafers when ready to serve.

- 1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
- 2. Mix wafer crumbs, pecan pieces, and butter in a 13 x 9" baking dish. Press firmly onto the bottom of the dish.
- 3. Bake the crust for about 8 minutes at 325 degrees F. Cool 10 minutes or so.
- 4. Top crust with banana slices.
- 5. Pour milk into a large bowl and add dry pudding mixes. Beat with a wire whisk 2 minutes, or until well blended. Spoon 2 cups of pudding over the banana layer.
- 6. Gently blend 1 cup of whipped cream into the remaining pudding and spoon over the pie bars.
- 7. Top with the remaining Cool Whip, if that's what you're using. If you have whipped cream, wait to top until serving time.
- 8. Refrigerate for 3 hours before serving. Store any leftovers in the refrigerator.
