4 apples
1/2 cup golden raisin
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 1/2 cups water or 1 1/2 cups apple juice
1/2 cup oatmeal (uncooked baby oatmeal)

Steps:

  • Wash, peel, core, and halve the apples. Cut each half into 6 pieces. Place the apple, raisins, cinnamon, and water into a 4-quart pot.
  • Cook apple mixture over high heat, covered, for about 7 minutes, stirring once. Add the oatmeal and cook for 1 additional minute, stirring the mixture continually.
  • Transfer everything into the blender. Puree ntil smooth . Pour into tw ice cube trays and allow to cool. Wrap and freeze. Defrost as needed and serve.

1 granny smith apple, cored and cut into large chunks, leaving peel on
1 red delicious apple, cored and cut into large chunks, leaving peel on
1/4 cup dried cranberries
1/4 cup raisins
1 cup apple juice
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup baby oatmeal

Steps:

  • 1.Place all ingredients except oatmeal into a large saucepan and bring to a low boil. 2.Simmer for 8 minutes until apples are tender and dried fruit is plump 3.Add oatmeal and stir and cook for another minute. 4.Place in a food processor and blend until desired consistency. 5.Divide into containers and refrigerate or freeze.
