Dressing
3 tablespoons white-wine vinegar
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
2 teaspoons soy sauce
1 garlic clove, minced
a 1-inch piece fresh ginger root, peeled and minced (about 1 tablespoon)
2 teaspoons Asian sesame oil
1/3 cup canola or vegetable oil
Salad
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
2 pounds green beans, trimmed
2 scallions, chopped fine (about 2 tablespoons)

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, whisk together vinegars, soy sauce, garlic, ginger root, and sesame oil. Add canola or vegetable oil in a stream, whisking, and whisk until emulsified. Season dressing with salt and pepper.
  • In a small dry skillet toast sesame seeds over moderate heat, stirring, until golden and transfer to a small bowl.
  • In a large saucepan of boiling salted water, cook beans until crisp-tender, about 4 minutes. Transfer beans to a colander and rinse under cold water. Drain beans well.
  • In a large bowl, combine beans, scallions, sesame seeds, and dressing and toss well. Serve salad chilled or at room temperature.

3 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 slices fresh ginger root, minced
1 dried red chile pepper
¾ pound chopped fresh green beans
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons oyster sauce

Steps:

  • Heat oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Stir in garlic, ginger, and chile pepper. As the garlic and ginger begin to sweat, add beans, toss to mix, cover, and reduce heat. Steam for 5 to 8 minutes. Add 1/4 cup of water if necessary.
  • Remove cover, increase heat to high; add soy and oyster sauce and stir until sauce thickens, about 2 minutes more. Serve warm.

¼ cup white sugar
¼ cup soy sauce
3 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons mirin
1 teaspoon sweet chile sauce
3 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds

Steps:

  • Place green beans in a pot with water to cover; bring to a boil. Cook until tender, 6 to 8 minutes; drain.
  • Combine green beans, sugar, soy sauce, oil, mirin, and sweet chile sauce in a bowl. Mix thoroughly. Cover with plastic wrap; refrigerate 30 minutes to 4 hours. Mix in sesame seeds.

1/4 cup KRAFT Asian Toasted Sesame Dressing
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro, divided
1/2 cup PLANTERS Lightly Salted Dry Roasted Peanuts

Steps:

  • Add beans to large pan of boiling water; cook 3 to 5 min. or until beans are crisp-tender and bright green in color. Drain.
  • Transfer beans immediately to bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Let stand until beans are completely cooled.
  • Drain beans; pat dry. Place in large bowl. Add dressing and 3 Tbsp. cilantro; mix lightly.
  • Top with nuts and remaining cilantro.

This is easy to make and delicious. A little twist on the traditional green bean salad.

2 can(s) french cut green beans
1 can(s) red beans
1/2 cup(s) frozen peas
1 package(s) ramen noodles, oriental flavor
1 tablespoon(s) light mayonnaise
1 teaspoon(s) olive oil, extra virgin
1/2 cup(s) ginger salad dressing
2 tablespoon(s) red wine vinegar
1 teaspoon(s) finely chopped pickled ginger
1/2 cup(s) chopped onion

Steps:

  • Rinse and drain green, red beans and frozen peas in strainer and set aside.
  • Crush ramen noodles in package. Open and remove seasoning packet
  • Whisk together olive oil, vingegar, mayonnaise, ginger dressing and the seasoning packet from the ramen noodles. Add chopped onion and ginger to this and mix well.
  • Place drained beans and peas in large bowl. Add crushed ramen noodles and dressing mixture. Mix well. Can eat immediately if you prefer a crunchier texture or chill 8 hours for a softer texture. Yummy either way.
