3 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
3/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
1/2 cup water
1 large egg
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Steps:

  • 1.Preheat oven to 350º F and line 1-2 baking sheets with parchment paper. 2.Combine flour and cinnamon together in a large bowl and mix in applesauce, water and egg until fully incorporated. 3.Knead mixture until a smooth dough forms, then turn it out onto a lightly floured surface. 4.Roll dough out to 1/4-inch thickness and use your cookie cutter(s) to cut out treats. 5.Transfer dog treats to lined baking sheets and bake for 40 minutes, or until golden brown. 6.Remove and let cool completely before treating your pup.

1 ½ cups creamy peanut butter (I use "natural" Skippy)
1 ½ cups old fashioned oats
1 ¼ cups unsweetened applesauce
3 cups whole wheat flour
1 tsp baking powder

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350-degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Mix all ingredients together.
  • If the dough is too dry- add more applesauce.
  • It's going to be a dense dough.
  • Flour your counter/surface and roll out the dough to 1/2-inch thick.
  • Cut the dough with a cookie cutter (I prefer to use dog bone/paw shapes for treats.) or roll into Tablespoon sized balls.
  • Place the dough on baking sheets lined with silicone or parchment paper and bake for 20-25 minutes or until lightly browned.

4 cups rolled oats, or as needed
1 medium apple, cored and grated
1 egg
1 cup canned pumpkin
¼ cup rolled oats

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place 4 cups oatmeal in the bowl of a food processor; pulse until finely ground. Transfer to a mixing bowl.
  • Stir in grated apple. Mix in canned pumpkin and egg until well combined; mixture will be thick and slightly sticky.
  • Roll dough on a surface sprinkled with remaining 1/4 cup oats to a 1/2-inch thickness. Cut shapes with a cookie cutter and transfer to the prepared baking sheet.

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 cups barley flour
1/2 cup old-fashioned oatmeal
1/3 cup shredded cheddar
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce
2 tablespoons olive oil

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with a nonstick baking mat or parchment paper; set aside.
  • In a large bowl, mix together all ingredients and about 3 tablespoons water to form a dough. Roll out mixture between two sheets of plastic wrap to 1/4-inch thick; remove plastic wrap and cut out biscuits with a 3 1/2-inch bone-shaped cookie cutter. Reroll scraps and continue cutting out biscuits.
  • Space biscuits 1 inch apart on prepared baking sheet. Bake for 30 minutes until nicely browned and firm.
  • Transfer biscuits to a wire rack. Turn off oven and place biscuits on wire rack in oven overnight. Remove from oven and store in an airtight container up to 2 weeks.
