2 Granny Smith apples (peeled, cored and chopped)
2 cups steel cut oats
2 cups apple cider
2 cups milk
3 cups water
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup light brown sugar
chopped walnuts
a drizzle of maple syrup
a splash of milk
an extra dash on cinnamon

Steps:

  • Add all of the ingredients to a slow cooker. Turn the slow cooker to the WARM setting and allow to cook for 8-10 hours.
  • Remove the cover and stir.

2 apples, chopped
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/3 cup brown sugar
2 cups old fashioned oats (NOT quick-cooking)
4 cups water
1 pinch salt

Steps:

  • Mix together the apples, cinnamon and brown sugar in bottom of crock pot.
  • Sprinkle oats over apples, then pour in water and salt; DO NOT STIR!
  • Cook on LOW for 8-9 hours.
