VODKA CRANBERRY PUNCH WITH APPLE CIDER ICE CUBES
This is dangerously easy and delicious. Not only does it taste sweet and spicy, but just look at it! Those colors! The ruby-red cranberries cover the surface, and the apple cider cubes are the best additions that amp up the flavor.

Steps:
- Fill two ice cube trays with apple cider and freeze 8 hours or overnight. You may need a bit more or less of the cider, depending on the ice cube tray that you use.
- Meanwhile, heat the sugar, cinnamon and 1/3 cup water in a saucepan over medium heat, whisking the entire time. Cook until the mixture begins to bubble, then remove it from the heat. Allow it cool to room temperature, about 30 minutes.
- Combine the cranberry juice, vodka, orange juice, cinnamon sticks and the cinnamon simple syrup in a large punch bowl or pitcher. Stir well and refrigerate for a few hours before serving-this will marry the flavors. Before serving, add the apple cider ice cubes and cranberries to the bowl or pitcher.

APPLE CIDER AND BOURBON PUNCH
Apples and oranges! They're often presented as exemplars of opposition, as though they have nothing in common. But both fruits make appearances on many Thanksgiving tables, with orange in some cranberry sauces and cornbread stuffings with apple, and they mingle beautifully in a mellow punch that gets its verve from bourbon and its depth from a brown sugar and cinnamon simple syrup. For extra apple flavor, try swapping an apple spirit, such as Applejack or Calvados, in for the bourbon. The leftover simple syrup is great in cocktails -- a festive Old Fashioned, for example -- and also on oatmeal and rice pudding.

Steps:
- Make the syrup: In a medium saucepan, combine brown sugar and cinnamon sticks with 1 cup water, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, and simmer uncovered until sugar has completely dissolved, stirring occasionally, about 10 minutes. Remove pan from heat and let syrup cool; discard cinnamon sticks. (Leftover syrup may be kept refrigerated for a week.)
- Combine syrup, bourbon, apple cider, lemon juice and orange juice in a pitcher. Refrigerate for at least an hour.
- Strain chilled punch into a punch bowl. Add 4 cups of ice and club soda. Garnish with orange wheels. Generously grate nutmeg on top. Serve over ice.

APPLE CIDER PUNCH
This was a perfect punch to serve up for the chili cook-off I had this past weekend. I must say that it disappeared more quickly than I had anticipated. I did enjoy using the very large pumpkin that cost me $8 dollars at a local pumpkin patch and placing the mist maker inside to give it some color and the mist that drifted off...

Steps:
- 1. Clean out your pumpkin very well. Make it as smooth as possible on the inside so you don't have any pumpkin pulp floating in your punch. Then begin adding all your ingredients that have been chilled overnight in the refrigerator. This pumpkin easily held the 2 gallons of punch that I made. Don't forget to add your ice so that your punch can go a little further and remains nice and cold.
- 2. I purchased this mist maker at a local Halloween shop but I am sure you can get them online too. It is easy to add this directly down into your punch bowl. Just lightly drop it down into your punch on the side and adjust it so that it is not hit while dipping out punch for glasses.
- 3. Now, if it is just a little darker in the room the mist will show up much better but the colorful lights that are part of the mist maker are fun too. It is an array of different colors that blink while the mist is being made. Lots of fun for a party of any sort.
- 4. Here is a pic of the table with punch all ready to go.
