Our creamy ham and noodle bake is a comforting casserole recipe that you can put together in a snap. This is a classic family casserole recipe that I make over and over throughout the year.

1 (12oz. bag) wide egg noodles
3 cups full cooked diced ham
1 (10 ½ oz. can) condensed cream of chicken soup (or scroll up for my homemade version)
1 cup sour cream
1 ½ cups milk
½ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon pepper
2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
Fresh parsley, optional

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly spray a 13x9-inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
  • In a large saucepan cook noodles according to package directions to al dente. Drain noodles and return to the pan. Stir in the ham, chicken soup, sour cream, milk, garlic powder, and the pepper; stir well.
  • Transfer the mixture to the 13x9-inch baking dish. Sprinkle the 2 cups cheese over the top. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until heated through. Garnish with fresh parsley, optional.

This 5-Ingredient Ham and Noodle Casserole is an easy one dish meal that takes advantage of your delicious leftovers!

1 (12 ounce) package broad egg noodles
1 tablespoon mustard ((yellow mustard, honey mustard, or Dijon mustard will all work well, so pick your favorite))
2-4 cups diced cooked ham ((or any leftover meat))
1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup (not diluted)
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
Optional addition: 4 cups frozen French-style green beans or other veggies of your choice

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with cooking spray and set aside.
  • Cook egg noodles just until al dente, according to package instructions. Drain.
  • While the noodles are cooking, place mustard, ham, condensed soup, and optional frozen green beans in a large bowl.
  • Pour the drained, cooked, hot noodles over the rest of the ingredients in the bowl and stir to combine.
  • Transfer noodle mixture to prepared baking dish. Top with grated cheese.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
  • Remove foil, return to the oven (uncovered) for 20-25 more minutes, or until cheese is melted and casserole is heated through.

2 tablespoons butter
2 (14 ounce) cans chicken broth
1 teaspoon chicken bouillon granules
1 (12 ounce) package egg noodles

Steps:

  • Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat; simmer, stirring frequently, until butter is browned, fragrant, and foamy, with brown bits in it, 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Add chicken broth and bouillon to the pan with the butter; bring to a boil over high heat. Stir in egg noodles, bring to a second boil, cover, and turn off heat; leave pot on the same burner. Let stand for 30 minutes, stirring 2 or 3 times.

1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
1 cup celery, finely chopped
3 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons flour
1 tablespoon mustard
1 1/2 cups milk
2 cups cooked ham (chopped fine or shredded)
1 cup frozen green pea, thawed
8 ounces egg noodles, cooked and drained
salt and pepper, to taste
breadcrumbs
butter

Steps:

  • Saute the onion and celery in the 3 tablespoons of butter.
  • Add the flour and mustard and heat for a couple of minutes until the flour is cooked.
  • Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly, and continue heating until thickened.
  • Stir in the ham and peas and then toss in the noodles.
  • Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  • Pour into a greased casserole dish.
  • Sprinkle the top with bread crumbs and dot with butter.
  • Bake at 350°F for about 45 minutes.

I found this recipe on another website (don't remember which one). They are really easy and very good. Much better than a buttered noodle, although there is a lot of sodium. I use low sodium chicken broth.
