MANDARIN ORANGE, GORGONZOLA AND ALMOND DELIGHT



Mandarin Orange, Gorgonzola and Almond Delight image

This is an easy and flavorful citrus salad. The cheese makes it great, so use as much as you wish.

½ cup blanched slivered almonds
1 (11 ounce) can mandarin oranges, juice reserved
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
12 ounces mixed salad greens
1 cup Gorgonzola cheese

Steps:

  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add almonds, and cook, stirring frequently, until lightly toasted. Remove from heat, and set aside.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together 2 tablespoons reserved mandarin orange juice, oil, and vinegar.
  • In a large salad bowl, toss together the toasted almonds, mandarin oranges, mixed salad greens, and Gorgonzola cheese. Just before serving, pour dressing on salad, and toss to coat.

4 cups heavy whipping cream
2 cups milk
4 teaspoons vanilla extract
4 teaspoons almond extract
1 ¼ cups sliced almonds

Steps:

  • Beat sugar into the eggs in small amounts, assuring each addition dissolves completely before introducing the next.
  • Whisk cream, milk, vanilla extract, and almond extract into the egg mixture; fold almonds into mixture.
  • Pour into the container of an ice cream maker; freeze according to the manufacturer's instructions.

8 pitted dates
2 cups moist almond pulp from making almond milk
⅓ cup rolled oats
¼ cup almond milk
3 tablespoons blanched almond flour
2 tablespoons coconut flour
2 tablespoons coconut oil, melted
1 tablespoon applesauce
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon cacao nibs, ground
4 pinches ground cinnamon
4 dashes salt
1 dash ground nutmeg
¼ cup water
⅓ cup chopped vegan dark chocolate

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with lightly greased parchment paper.
  • Soak dates in hot water until soft, 6 to 10 minutes. Drain.
  • Combine dates, almond pulp, oats, almond milk, almond flour, coconut flour, coconut oil, applesauce, vanilla extract, cacao nibs, cinnamon, salt, and nutmeg in a food processor. Process to the consistency of cookie dough, adding water if needed.
  • Roll 1 tablespoon of cookie dough with your hands. Pinch sides with your fingers to form a square. Place on the prepared baking sheet and press down with your fingers or a fork to flatten slightly. Repeat with remaining dough.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, about 20 minutes. Let cool.
  • Melt dark chocolate in a microwave-safe glass or ceramic bowl in 15-second intervals, stirring after each interval, 1 to 2 minutes. Drizzle melted chocolate over cookies.

I think this recipe may have come from Taste of Home at some time. I am not sure about the title of the recipe. It is a delicious recipe and I get compliments on it whenever I take it to any gathering.

1/2 c butter, melted
1 c all purpose flour
11/4 c coconut
1/4 c brown sugar, firmly packed
1 c almonds, slivered
4 oz coconut instant pudding
4 oz vanilla instant pudding
2 2/3 c cold milk
2 c cool whip

Steps:

  • 1. Mix first 5 ingredients. Press into greased 9 by 13 baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minute until brown. Stirring every 10 minutes. Cool divide into half.
  • 2. Press 1/2 of mixture back into same baking dish. Mix coconut pudding and vanills pudding with milk, fold in Cool Whip. Spoon over crust and top with remaining crumb mixture. Cover and refrigerate.

1/4 c brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 c margarine, melted
1/2 c sliced almonds
1 c flaked coconut
1 c flour

Steps:

  • 1. Filling: 2 (3 oz) boxes instant coconut pudding 2 cups cold milk, 8 oz. Whipped Topping
  • 2. Stir brown sugar, margarine,almonds, coconut, and flour until blended. Pour into shallow baking pan and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, stirring several times while baking. (will resemble granola). Remove the crumb mixture from oven to cool. Combine pudding, milk, and whipped topping and set in refrigerator to thicken (about 10 minutes). In a 9" square pan, sprinkle 3/4 of crumb mixture; cover with thickened filling, and top with remaining crumbs! DELISH!

Chocolate Filling
1/2 cup whipping cream
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips (6 oz)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Almond Butter Filling
1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup almond butter
1 cup powdered sugar
1 container (8 oz) frozen whipped topping, thawed
Topping
1 cup toasted coconut
1/2 cup toasted sliced almonds

Steps:

  • 1 Heat oven to 450°F. Bake pie crust as directed on box for One-Crust Baked Shell, using 9-inch pie plate. 2.In medium bowl, microwave whipping cream uncovered on High 30 seconds. Stir in chocolate chips and vanilla until smooth. Spread chocolate filling over bottom of baked shell. Refrigerate 30 minutes. 3.In large bowl, beat cream cheese, butter, almond butter and powdered sugar with electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and fluffy. Carefully spread over chocolate filling. 4.Spread whipped topping over almond butter filling. Mix toasted coconut and toasted almonds. Sprinkle over whipped topping. Refrigerate about 2 hours or until set. Cover and refrigerate any remaining pie

1/2 tsp garlic salt
1/2 tsp Worchester sauce
toasted silvered almonds

Steps:

  • Combine cream cheese and all other ingred in a dish then fold in crabmeat. Sprinkle with slivered almonds and bake 350 for 20 min.

  • Melt butter in cake pan add brown sugar, flour, coconut, almond mix well and bake in oven 350 degrees 15 -20 minutes till brown stirring a few times. Take out and cool. mix pudding and milk till thick than add cool whip until blended. Pour 1/2 pudding mixture into glass 8x12 dish sprinkle 1/2 almond mixture and then repeat finsih with the almond topping and chill.
