1 (8 ounce) package cremini mushrooms, halved or quartered
2 tablespoons avocado oil
1 teaspoon low-sodium soy sauce (such as Bragg®)
½ teaspoon garlic granules
salt and ground black pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat the air fryer to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Combine mushrooms, avocado oil, soy sauce, garlic granules, salt, and pepper in a bowl; toss to coat. Transfer to the air fryer bowl.
  • Cook mushrooms in the air fryer for 10 minutes, shaking occasionally.

20 Button mushrooms
3 tbsp Flour
2 Eggs (lightly beaten)
1 cup Panko bread crumbs
1 tbsp Parsley (dried)
1 tsp Garlic powder
1/4 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Pepper
1/2 tsp Olive oil
Water

Steps:

  • Remove any dirt from the mushrooms with damp paper towel, and then let them dry.
  • Place a wax paper on a large plate and set aside.
  • Prepare 4 small shallow bowls.
  • Fill one bowl with water. In the 2nd bowl, place the flour. In the 3rd bowl, add the eggs and beat lightly. In the 4th bowl, add the bread crumbs, parsley, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  • Dip each mushroom in water, then flour, then the beaten eggs, and finally the bread crumb mixture. Make sure the mushroom is coated evenly.
  • Set aside on the large plate. Once all the mushrooms are coated, place them in the fridge for about 15-30 minutes to let the coating set.
  • Lightly oil the air fryer basket. Place the mushrooms in a single layer in the basket. Cook at 400°F until golden brown at about 7 minutes, flipping them over halfway through.
  • Once done, let the air fried breaded mushrooms rest for a while, then serve with your favorite dipping sauce.

3 eggs
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ cup plain bread crumbs
½ cup panko bread crumbs
½ tablespoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon seafood seasoning (such as Old Bay®)
1 pound small cremini mushrooms
1 serving nonstick cooking spray

Steps:

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Beat eggs in a bowl. Combine flour, all bread crumbs, kosher salt, onion powder, garlic powder, pepper, paprika, and seafood seasoning in a separate bowl.
  • Dip mushrooms first in eggs, then in seasoned flour. Dip back into the eggs and into the seasoned flour again. Place on a plate.
  • Place a batch of mushrooms in the air fryer basket, making sure none are overlapping. Spray with nonstick cooking spray. Cook for 6 minutes. Shake basket and spray any chalky spots with nonstick cooking spray. Cook for 6 minutes more. Repeat with remaining mushrooms.
