Number Of Ingredients 4

2 cup(s) self-rising flour
5 tablespoon(s) butter, softened (not melted)
1/8 cup(s) sour cream
1/2 - 3/4 cup(s) milk

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Throughly wash and dry your hands or use disposable gloves.
  • Put flour, butter and sour cream into a large mixing bowl. Using you hand incorporate the butter and sour cream into the flour. Form a well in the center of the flour mixture and pour in 1/2 cup milk. Using a fork, stir milk into flour making sure all the flour is moistened and forms a dough ball. If it doesn't seem moist enough, add remaining milk. Make sure you don't get the dough too wet.
  • Pour dough onto a lightly floured surface and kneed dough until soft and fluffy feeling. Using a rolling pin, roll out dough to 1/2 inch. Using a biscuit cutter, cut out biscuits and place on buttered baking pan.
  • Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
