Best Pizza Dough image

Number Of Ingredients 7

2-1/4 teaspoons dry active yeast
1/2 cup tepid water (not over 110 degrees F)
1/8 teaspoon sugar
3/4 cup cold milk
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon kosher salt

Steps:

  • In an electric mixer stand bowl, combine the tepid water, sugar and yeast. Cover and let it proof about 5 minutes.
  • Add milk and olive oil
  • Add flour and kosher salt and turn the mixer on low until flour is incorporated and increase the speed slightly and let it mix 7 minutes.
  • The dough will be soft, turn it on to a floured surface and let it sit 2 minutes. Knead about 20 times and roll into a ball.
  • Put enough olive oil in a bowl to be able to roll the ball of dough in it and cover the bowl with a cloth. Let the dough rise about one hour.
  • Divide the dough into two balls and shape and stretch the dough to create your pizza dough ready to be garnished
