Becky's Super Stuffed Bread image

This recipe was given to me by my cousin Becky who, honestly, could have rivaled many chefs. It makes a wonderful addition to a holiday dinner and for large gatherings I sometimes make two.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 - loaf french bread
8 ounce(s) cheddar cheese, grated
8 ounce(s) swiss cheese, grated
8 slice(s) bacon, precooked
1/2 cup(s) butter, softened
1/2 cup(s) green onion, chopped (optional)
1 tablespoon(s) mustard, prepared
1 tablespoon(s) sesame or poppy seeds

Steps:

  • Slice bread into 16 slices, NOT all the way through to the bottom.
  • Mix butter, onion, mustard and seeds. Spread mixture onto slices (both sides.)
  • Stuff with cheeses and top with bacon pieces.
  • Wrap loaf with aluminum foil around sides and bottom, only.
  • Bake at 325F degrees for 20 minutes or until bread is hot and cheese is completely melted.
