Banana Split Dessert image

Red gelatin blended with ice cream is chilled in a serving bowl and topped with bananas, strawberries, pineapple, nuts and whipped topping.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1-1/2 cups boiling water
1 pkg. (8-serving size) JELL-O Strawberry Flavor Gelatin
2 cups cold water
1 pt. (2 cups) vanilla ice cream, softened
1/2 cup pineapple chunks in juice
1/2 cup each: sliced banana and strawberries
1/2 cup pecan or walnut halves
1 cup thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping

Steps:

  • Stir boiling water into dry gelatin mix in large bowl at least 2 min. until completely dissolved. Stir in cold water.
  • Add ice cream; stir until well blended. Pour into serving bowl.
  • Refrigerate 3 hours or until firm. Top with fruit, pecans and whipped topping.
