Everyone in my family loves this banana bread, the aroma of it cooking draws kids of all ages to the kitchen. I use half splenda and half sugar so my father in law can eat a little too as he has diabetes, but it is fine to use all sugar or even all splenda.

Number Of Ingredients 13

1 1/2 cup(s) all purpose flour
1 teaspoon(s) cinnamon
1 teaspoon(s) salt
1 teaspoon(s) baking soda
1/2 teaspoon(s) nutmeg
1/2 cup(s) chopped walnuts
1/2 cup(s) white sugar
1/2 cup(s) splenda
1 stick(s) butter softened
1/2 cup(s) sour cream
2 teaspoon(s) vanilla extract
2 - eggs
1 cup(s) mashed very ripe bananas

Steps:

  • pre heat oven to 350'. spray 9x5in loaf pan with cooking spray an set aside.
  • combine first 6 ingredients (your dry ingredients) in medium sized mixing bowl
  • combine next 6 ingredients (your wet ingredients) in separate mixing bowl
  • mash bananas and add to wet ingredients
  • combine wet and dry ingredients together, but do not over mix (I just use a wire whisk as it doesn't require a lot of mixing)
  • pour batter into prepared loaf pan and bake for 1hr.
  • let cool for at least 15min. and enjoy!
