Baked Fish with Shrimp-Parmesan Sauce image

Number Of Ingredients 7

3 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
2 pounds white fish fillets (ocean perch, flounder, sole, etc.)
1/2 pound small cooked shrimp
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Make a medium white sauce: melt butter in skillet, add flour and cook until bubbly, add salt and milk, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Layer fish in a buttered flat baking dish. Spread shrimp and white sauce over fish. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake for 20-25 minutes in a 325° oven.
