AUNT RUTH'S BANANA-NUT BREAD image

Yield 1 bundt loaf

Number Of Ingredients 9

3/4 cup shortening
1&3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1&3/4 cup plain flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/3 cup buttermilk
3 whole large ripe bananas
3/4 cup chopped pecans
1 teaspoon vanilla

Steps:

  • 1. Cream shortening, sugar, eggs, and bananas together. 2. Add buttermilk, flour, soda, vanilla. Mix well. 3. Stir in chopped nuts. 4. In a bundt pan, bake at 300 or 325 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
