AMISH CUT OUT COOKIES image

Yield 4 dozen

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 c. butter or margerine
2 c. sugar
1 c sour cream
1/2 c. buttermilk or 1t. vinegar+1/2 c. milk
1 t. vanilla
1 t. baking soda
2 heaping teaspoons baking poweder
4 c. flour

Steps:

  • Cream shortening and sugar, then add eggs and beat. Alternate dry ingredients with sour cream and milk. Mix well, dough will be soft. Put on a board and add enough flour to handle. Roll, cut out and bake 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees. Frost when cool.
