4 Ingredient Apple Carrot Cake image

From my Mamaw's recipe collection.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 package(s) carrot cake mix
2/3 cup(s) vegetable oil
3 - eggs
1 cup(s) applesauce
FOR THE GLAZE
1 package(s) 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup(s) powdered sugar
3 tablespoon(s) lemon juice

Steps:

  • Combine mix, oil, and eggs. Beat at medium speed for three minutes. Add applesauce and beat one minute. Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Bake 35 minutes at 350°.
  • For the glaze: beat cream cheese until fluffy. Add sugar and lemon juice until smooth. Spread over warm cake.
